Meet Dr. Phil Vito, O.D.
As a native of Pittsburgh, Dr. Vito is a lifelong fan of the Steelers and Penguins as you will see on a wall when you visit our office.
He completed his undergrad studies at Allegheny College, then attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia completing eight years of study. Dr. Vito interned at Kirk US Army Hospital, Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, and at the Central Medical Pavilion in Pittsburgh. He completed his residency at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia.
Dr. Vito, and his wife Joyce, moved to North Carolina in 1997 where they took residence in Cary and still live today. Phil and Joyce have two very active young teens, Christian and Caroline, who are avid basketball players.
In 1999 when Holly Springs was still a small but growing community, Holly Springs Eyes Associates opened for business. The practice continues to grow as the community grows, and Dr. Vito feels blessed to have been part of the growth of such a vibrant area.
When not seeing patients, or participating in community events, you might find Dr. Vito at the lake in his kayak, zipping across the water on his waverunners, or working on home improvement projects. An interesting and little-known fact about Dr Vito: he also has electrician skills, and he enjoys doing all the IT work in his office.
